The essence of his artistic process lies in the limitations imposed by material and physics. Sculpting demands a structured approach. A complex process provides the boundaries he needs to express himself and bring an idea to life. Working in three dimensions also allows him to integrate more information and details into his pieces, making each sculpture a comprehensive expression of a thought.

He often makes several attempts before a sculpture reaches its final form. Beginning with a silhouette — a symbolic representation of an initial, unrefined thought. The sculpting process more seen as the path of understanding. As he works, the silhouette evolves into a detailed figure, mirroring Gianluca’s own journey through complex ideas.
